Conference Publication

As with the previous four SAMEMES conferences, a selection of papers will be published in SPELL: Swiss Papers in English Language and Literature (General Editor Lukas Erne; Gunter Narr Verlag, Tubingen). SPELL 34, What Is an Image in Medieval and Early Modern England?, will be edited by Antoinina Bevan Zlatar and Olga Timofeeva and will appear in the autumn of 2017.

Submission Deadline

Given that SPELL volumes are peer-reviewed and that the selection process will consequently take time, we ask all contributors to submit their typescripts no later than the end of October 2016.

All contributions must be original.

Permission Form

The topic of our conference suggests that many contributors will want to include illustrations in their papers. It is crucial that contributors obtain the necessary permission to reproduce the material in print as well as electronically. Please find the relevant Form below.
