How to reach the University from the main railway station

The conference will take place at the main building of the University of Zurich, located near the city centre and within easy access from the main railway station (Hauptbahnhof).

From the airport, you can take a train (S-Bahn) to Zurich main train station (ca. 10 mins). You can also take the tram 10 directly to the University main building. Get off at the tram stop ‘ETH/Universitätspital’.

From the train station, tram number 6 takes you to the main builing (KOL). Get off at the tram stop ‘Platte’. You can also walk the entire distance (uphill, 10-15 minutes). If you want to walk but skip the steep part you can take the historic ‘Polybahn’ cable car.

Zurich is well connected by motorway. We recommend to park the car at University Zurich Irchel park house (German only), as there are no affordable long term car parks in the town centre.
